1. Who we are

Medicaid Answers is a program of Medicaid Answers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-4138097), 24600 Center Ridge Road, Ste. 270, Westlake, OH 44145. This policy explains what information we collect on medicaidanswers.org and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us when you request a case review: your name, email and phone number; your answers about the care situation, the state, rough family finances and timing; and your text-message choices.
Booking details such as the time of your case review.
Messages you send us by email, phone or text.
Technical information collected automatically, such as your browser type and the pages you visit. See section 5 about cookies and the Google Ads tag.

3. How we use it

To prepare for and hold your free case review, and to send confirmations and reminders.
To answer your questions.
To send educational and promotional messages, only if you separately opt in.
To understand, in aggregate, which pages and ads help families find us.
To comply with the law and keep our systems secure.

4. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We don’t give it to any planning firm or other company for its own use, with one exception: if you ask us to connect you with a professional or organization, such as an attorney or a planning firm, we share what’s needed for that introduction with the one you choose, and only after you ask. We share information only with:

the Medicaid Answers team members who prepare for and conduct your case review;
a professional or organization you ask us to connect you with, such as an attorney or a planning firm, and only after you ask;
service providers that run our systems for us under contract, such as our customer-relationship and scheduling platform, email and calendar provider, email delivery service and website host;
others only when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.

5. Cookies and the Google Ads tag

Our state guide pages use the Google Ads tag, which may set cookies, so we can tell whether people who click our Google ads go on to request a case review. The tag receives information about your visit, such as the page address (without any extra details in it, other than Google’s own ad-click code) and your browser, but not your survey answers, name, email or phone number. Our other pages, including the page you see after booking, don’t use the tag. You can control ad personalization at My Ad Center and block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Text messages (SMS)

When you provide your mobile number and consent, we may send SMS messages including appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups (informational/transactional), and — only if you separately opt in — educational and promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

7. Keeping information safe

We protect your information with standard security measures and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

8. Your choices

You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, and ask to see or delete your information by emailing team@medicaidanswers.org.

9. Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
